The Ultracarb has 3 way filtration. Ceramic wall, Solid Carbon Block and Ion Exchange Resin for heavy metal removal. Solid carbon is slightly more effective at removing chlorine than the gravity filter with activated carbon. Ion exchange resin removes heavy metals.
The ceramic shell is filled with granular activated carbon, to give superior flow rates in a gravity filter.
Benefits: Removal of particles, pathogenic bacteria, cysts, etc. with additional chlorine and organics removal capabilities.
