We have been speaking about what the current times are bringing upon society for many years now Where are you personally placed - right at this minute?? Can you even see what is taking place before your very eyes? … we sincerely hope so, because things are definitely revving up!!

Nature’s Wonderland has always been our primary business, as those of you who have been with us for a while would know. Leaning heavily towards a spiritually based lifestyle, our metaphysical products were at the forefront in our earlier days, but as we move closer in our personal lives to the complete self-sufficiency for which we strive, we have also altered the emphasis of our store and the product lines. Our metaphysical products will always hold great importance for us, so much so that we decided to break up the store into the three sections and SerpentineMoon now houses all those products. Concurrently, Nature’s Wonderland has steered more and more towards catering to as healthy a lifestyle as is possible.

Anyway, back to the self-sufficiency to which I referred …. certainly in my writings I have made reference to how the Universe guides and shifts us along our paths of life and I am sure you have many stories in your own life upon which to draw that highlight this wonderful experience. Isn’t it an incredible feeling to look back over the years and know that without this type of guidance, we just wouldn’t be where we are today! Naturally though, we MUST make our own decisions as we come upon the varying crossroads. This aspect is of utmost importance and couldn’t be more important than it is RIGHT NOW!

Of course, Wisdom to some is Nonsense to others, so our paths are defined by that with which we feel comfortable.

Do you query why I always stress a self-sufficient lifestyle? If per chance you have been rolling along these last years in a very hectic existence, with no time to do much with your food other than throw together some meals from whatever is available in the supermarket, then we urge you to stop for enough time to become aware of just how degenerative the available food has become! IF you are relying upon the food from supermarkets, you are slowly becoming a part of *the plan*, which is something we would dearly love to assist you to avoid!

FOOD, SHELTER and CLOTHING are the three mainstays of a human existence, none of which we are able to do without. Of these three, clothing is the most adaptable and easiest to *make do* by using lesser items, substitutes, and so on. But we MUST HAVE FOOD and SHELTER!! The food being made available to the general public these days is better not eaten!! If people continue to consume the highly processed, genetically modified junk that is termed food, then the outlook is not good! Take a long, hard look, if you haven’t previously considered just what a sickly and obese population is currently in existence! As regards shelter - how serious is it *out there*? …. yes, VERY! Of course, we here have our own views about just how this *economic crisis* came to be and that is not to be discussed here, but look from above at the big picture …. how many people are in dire straits with their mortgages - too many! Housing prices have blown out of all proportion and the ability to both get and maintain a loan is becoming more and more difficult as time goes on. What sort of a chance do you think the young ones have of getting their own house these days?

It is for these reasons that we have expanded our outlook to include Club Serendipity into our business and we eagerly encourage you to consider how important it is right now to be knowledgeable and aware of all the aspects of life I have just mentioned — this is the focus upon which we concentrate, and we gladly assist and guide others to do the same.

We personally have two goals that we intend to have accomplished this year, 2009 —-

• Pay in full our Mortgage.
• Become totally self-sufficient in our food and as much as possible in other areas of our life.

We have the business that will enable us to gather enough finances to pay our mortgage - LifePath Unlimited - and we have everything moving rapidly towards the self-sufficiency.

We are a couple of weeks into the year already - how are your plans coming along?

As I started to write this email, the music of “Chevaliers de Sangreal” was playing - absolutely powerful music!! Hans Zimmer has superb talent and this piece from the “Da Vinci Code” is so moving that one is almost forced to stop everything and become mesmerised by the impact it imparts. I love music! … do you play certain music to lift your spirits, or else to put you into a particular frame of mind? We do, here at home. Music is a wonderful subliminal tool!

On the flip side … this can be aligned to how society is subliminally ‘manipulated’!! I am not inclined to ever voice too many of my thoughts online, most especially on this type of subject, as I have been living proof of the consequences from ‘those who rule’! Suffice to say that these are some of the topics we are going to be covering in Club Serendipity, along with how to be Healthy, Wealthy and Wise!

Starting quite soon, we are going to launch our *TRIM, TAUT and T’RIFIC* Program, aimed at healthy eating for a healthy body. More about that as we get closer to completing the details. Anyway, back to the manipulation that I was mentioning ….

To preface things, I would just like to refresh your memory and take you back over a short space in history and the facts of our society during that time. Let’s date back to 1984 (hey, that would be a great name for a book, don’t you think!!) —

In 1984, a Teacher’s annual wage in the state of Victoria, Australia, was around $45,000.
To purchase an average house in Melbourne, Victoria, the median price was around $65,000, meaning that the average cost to buy yourself a home was a little over 144% of your wage.

Twenty Four (24) years later, in 2008, a Teacher’s annual wage in the state of Victoria, Australia, was around $69,000
To purchase an average house in Melbourne, Victoria, the median price was around $450,000, meaning that the average cost to buy yourself a home was around 652% of your wage.

To summarise - in the past 24 years, your wage has risen by about 55% - the cost to buy your home has risen by almost 600% - is this scary??!!

If you would prefer to compare Mr and Mrs Average, rather than a professional ….
The following details have been taken from the Australia Bureau of Statistics information -

The average Australian wage currently (January 2009) is $50,000 p/a, but the median would be more like $30,000 - $40,000 p/a.
The minimum wage currently (January 2009) for an Australian worker is $12.95 p/h for a full time worker.

It doesn’t take too long to figure out that Mr and Mrs Average are going to be struggling like billyo to be able to get their own home!!

Using an online Mortgage Calculator, inputting an annual income of $40,000.00 and no other expenses, given the fact that you are eligible for a 30 year loan, you can borrow up to $290,000.00 with monthly payments of $1,180.00 at an interest rate of 6.75%. If you happen to be on the low side of the median annual income - inputting an annual income of $30,000.00 and no other expenses, given the fact that you are eligible for a 30 year loan, you can borrow up to $181,000.00 with monthly payment of $1,173.00, at an interest rate of 6.75%.

Neither of these scenarios bring Mr and Mrs Average anywhere close to being able to purchase their own home today!!@

What about if Mrs Average decided that she needs to go out and get a job, so they can join their two wages together to enable them to get their home loan? ….

By the time she buys suitable clothes, another car, extra petrol, pays for lunches, make-up and probably lots more, arrangements then need to be made for the children. Stick them *in the creek* as my mother used to say!! Crèche expectations are sometimes insurmountable!

Many families need the second income to afford mortgage repayments, groceries and fuel but it’s a conundrum because the second income can be swallowed up by the child-care fees. Costs between centres can vary dramatically, depending on location, operating hours and the age of your child. Expect to pay between $55 and $110 a day but that price usually drops if additional days are required. According to the Raising Children Network, in 2006 the median weekly fee for 50 hours of private long day care was $208. This figure could be an underestimation. The network says: “Some surveys show prices are much higher than reported, with a median weekly cost in Victoria of $313 and $348 in NSW.”

For my exercise here, as there are far too many variables to even contemplate for my purpose, let’s round off these figures and say that the crèche bill is $300 per week (for one child). If Mrs Average had a wage of $30,000 per annum, that equates to about $576 per week, and after tax (excluding any of the monsters of tax claims, etc) her take home wage is around $385 per week. Is this all worth it, for the $85 that will most certainly be spent on fuel, car payments, etc etc etc???@

So, Mr and Mrs Average now have (on paper) a combined annual income of maybe $60,000, giving them a chance to possibly obtain a 30 year loan of $508,000, with monthly repayments, at 6.75%, of $3,295 - IF they can manage to get enough deposit to put down. Then, this scenario rests on their ability to repay over $100 PER DAY!! So, $700 per week, coupled with child-care fees of at least $300 is $1,000 … and they haven’t as yet bought any food, petrol, electricity, etc etc etc!! IT JUST DOESN’T WORK!!

Spin right back to 1984 .. if your house cost $65,000 but your wage was only a relatively small amount less than it is today, things would be vastly different, and we could almost ALL afford to buy our homes!! Go back another 10 years to 1974 and your average home in Melbourne was around $25,000. Does this make you sit straight up and ask, “What is happening!!”

Please don’t be too confident though — It definitely isn’t going to stop there … look at the *Economic Crisis* that is currently going on world-wide, having hit the media with a huge impact back in September 2008. What are your thoughts on that? I have plenty, although I am not going to write them down online. Suffice to say that I am very willing to share with each and every one of you who is interested, so I seriously encourage you to become a member of our new Club Serendipity. I do trust these first weeks of the New Year are enjoyable for you!

Just a quick message … firstly, I sincerely apologise to all those who took the time to email me with your request for the free gift we offered to you - the Life Designer for 2009 that is in a PDF format. At the time of my offer, I had to just tweak a couple of things in the download section of our new Club Serendipity member site, but thought I would be able to do that in the 24 hours following the last newsletter. Well, this was a classic example of all good intentions gone by the wayside, so I should never have put out the offer until I had it ready - sorry for the delay. This week has been an incredibly hectic week, which actually came as a big surprise to me as in most years in my memory bank, things always drop off dramatically as soon as Christmas has passed. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Another year is starting … what will unfold for us all?

This time of year can be very busy for lots of people, but I think we need to take a moment at some stage to sit back, relax, and reflect on the year just past, as well as the year ahead. I know I have been taking some time out for that over the last few days.

I want to thank you so much for being a part of my online family. Thank you to those who have supported me this year, allowing me to continue to do what I love.

I hope this new year brings you many great joys and that wonderful opportunities come your way … and, please stay safe over the holidays.

Did you make a New Year Resolution? Mine is to make sufficient money to pay off our mortgage!!

I fully realise that is a massive task, but it is a goal on which I intend to focus the bulk of my energy - and of course a goal in which I intend to succeed!. I have been working towards this for all of 2008 and now I am in a position to concentrate my efforts in a much more definitive manner, as we have the shops in a far more satisfactory arrangement than we had previously, so I will now be able to lessen my workload in that area, enabling me to place my energies on different things.

That most special time of the year has once again passed and I feel sure that there are lots of full tummies and beaming smiles as treasured presents are contemplated. Here on our property, our family had a wonderfully peaceful time sharing each other’s company and love.

Now, as we leave the Christmas rush behind us for yet another year, perhaps it is time to shake ourselves free of the hustle and bustle that has taken us over for the past few weeks at least, as we led up to Christmas, and consider just where we are going to from here.

For many months now we have personally been working on an extremely important project, although we haven’t had the ability to devote full time to it due to our other commitments, but the year to follow, 2009, is going to be a powerful one for us as we unfold all of this concentration and bring our recent efforts to the forefront. We have written a great deal and set up a number of websites through which we are going to convey this information. Most of it is completed, but there are still finishing touches going into place. I feel it important not to dally any longer though in getting the details out to others - the need for action is fast becoming urgent and I invite you to read my article below as an introduction and forerunner to that upon which we have been working. We would be very honoured to have you as a member in our new CLUB SERENDIPITY and to work alongside you as we reach for the freedom that we all deserve!

What is going on in our world??

Everywhere you turn, you are confronted with comments, stories, news reports, and so on about the doom and gloom of the world economy!

BUT, have you actually stopped to wonder why - what is going on and what will be the eventual outcome? - or instead, are you caught up in this spiral that is being created? Yes, that is correct - CREATED!!

We are not about to go into a huge dialogue about the conspiracies that exist in this crazy world in which we live, but suffice to say in brief that it is our strong opinion that *things are not always what they seem*!! (To quote the Phaedrus, written by Plato - “Things are not always what they seem; the first appearance deceives many; the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden.“)

As you can very easily discern … life has not altered much in all those years!

So, what are YOU going to do about it?

We seem to be coming close to a major turning point - as more people awaken, and as technology increases, thus enabling the throngs to easily communicate - a vast awakening is starting to take place. Of course, there are a great many things that influence our lives, but the crux of all power is money! We live in a society totally dictated to by the need for money, without which we are just not able to exist! THIS is how we are ruled by the powers that be!

The money circulating in most countries on this planet is owned and totally controlled by the elite - the *overseers* or *controllers*, the bankers and their cronies and minions. We simply *rent* it from them - this rent being called *interest*. That ownership has been sealed with the blood of those who have set themselves up to *rule* our lands - Prime Ministers, Presidents, Queens, and so on. Make no mistake about it. These *Powers That Be* have to tell us nothing, and there is no one who will force them to tell us anything. Only the unbearable pain of total collapse will wake people up. LET US JOIN TOGETHER AND STEP ASIDE FROM THAT PATH!! - before it becomes too late!

With the impending implosion of the usury-based global money system, now is the time to seek a new way of ‘doing’ money - one not based on debt and controlled by a global monetary elite who are destroying our planet.

Conventional money is created as debt by private financial institutions for their own profit-making purposes, not as a social service. This is the root cause of the economic, social and environmental problems that beset us. The amount of debt determines the quantity of money, which has nothing to do with the amount of money we need to live decent lives.

Now, as the world economy is crumbling, look around you and see how you are being affected. Pick up the paper or turn on the TV and you see nothing but stories of financial Armageddon. The stock market is crashing, banks are failing, mortgage companies are failing, the motor industry is failing, the housing meltdown, unemployment is skyrocketing — and on it goes. If not for the bad news, there would be no news at all. One thing that all these recurring news stories do is cause an enormous amount of stress - stress that is both emotionally and physically devastating. Again, our opinion is that we are all being manipulated and this scenario is absolutely intended. I am aware that many people have been working towards this turning point in our society for many years now, as have we personally done. About 11 years ago we started to move away from *the norm* of society and set ourselves up to live in a self-sufficient lifestyle. There have been steps along the way and the process has not been fast - almost always due to the monetary aspect. For those of you who have followed us along, you will remember that initially we were going to sell the complete Nature’s Wonderland business, but after consideration, we realised that it really had become far too big as the store was carrying around 2,500 items. We put lots of thought into the best way to move and hence we made the decision to divide the large store up into three smaller and more manageable stores, which would be easier to control and far better for the clients to find their way around the items. So was born INCENSE IN BULK and SERPENTINEMOON.

The irony of all I am telling you is that we have now created an even greater workload for ourselves, as we are running not one, but three online stores, each coupled with an eBay store and a Blog, plus we also have an OZtion store. As a small family business, this is just far too great a workload for us, so we are now putting out this amazing offer, that we must do to save ourselves from being swamped by all this work!

SINCE I WAS A YOUNGSTER, I HAD A VISION THAT ONE DAY I WOULD LIVE WHAT I TERMED - THE *GOOD LIFE*!

Having watched in my youth a TV program titled ‘The Good Life’, I vowed that I would eventually fulfil my dream. What I envisioned this meaning to be was to live on acreage, in a stately ‘Old Queenslander’ home, surrounded by animals, growing a delicious garden jam-packed with wonderful food, and being as self-sufficient as possible.

My dream has been unfolding and we are now living the GOOD LIFE!!

Let me share with you just how this came to be ……

ONE MUST HAVE A DREAM IN LIFE - A GOAL TOWARDS WHICH THEY CONSTANTLY MOVE!

- Of course everyone has a very different goal and a different meaning of what they personally envision to be their own ‘Good Life’. My vision is as I have described, but yours may well be to have a Mansion on the Ocean, a Stable of European Sports Cars, to Travel to Exotic Lands whenever you feel inclined, or numerous other aspects of life that are of utmost importance to you in fulfilling your Life Dream! The actual content of the goal is not what is important …
BUT TO HAVE A GOAL AND TO WORK TOWARDS IT IS WHAT MATTERS!!

I have been through a great many of Life’s Trials and Tribulations and I have also been to the bottom on more than one occasion! Have you ever had a job that you felt was going to bring you undone? …. either send you crazy, or perhaps stress you more than is good for your health? I have as well - so I left that employment to work for myself. The move was a difficult one to make and it took me some time to come to the final decision - but, in retrospect, it was the best thing I could have done, as it shifted me onto a totally new path. My major reason for wanting to get out of a *job* was that I wanted to look after my children and not have to put them into a childcare establishment. Not only have I had my own business for the past 20-odd years, but I have also had the freedom to be with my family and I have consequently had the opportunity to home-school all 4 of my kids.

What attitude I would like to encourage in you is not to be afraid to make these types of moves in your life. Too many people spend their whole existence doing a job they really don’t enjoy, purely because they are afraid to make the decision to leave. They term it ’security’ - but that is a paradox. Unless you are the CEO of a major company and earning a mountain of money (and these days even that will not necessarily be secure), you will never reach your goals of owning your own property and cars, travelling whenever you wish and having the freedom to spend whatever money you feel, whenever you feel.

The Ticket to Freedom in this society is to be Independent! DON’T work for a boss in a job that only offers you a wage that barely manages to pay your mortgage. Operating your OWN BUSINESS really is the only way in which you will ever have Total Control over your income.

Having lost everything, including my house and business, I can be totally honest in telling you that it is definitely possible to get back on top and to also make an income on the Internet! Forced into a situation of living in a bus and caravan, and also in more rental properties than I choose to remember, I had to find some form of employment that I was able to do from the very limited conditions of a rural address - I decided that the Internet was the answer. Since the year 2000, I have been through many experiences in that learning curve - including some not so good. The lesson here is that of Discernment! There are a torrent of supposed businesses available, so how does one know which to choose?
